THE COMPANY
American Cupcake is a specialty food business founded in 2006. We are based in San Francisco, CA and operate as a cupcake catering service, with plans to open a retail storefront. We're open late. Our mission is to bake you cupcakes, then sleep in.

THE FOUNDER
American Cupcake was founded by Devin Glasser, a Bay Area native. Devin manages all business, culinary and creative operations.

Devin launched her career in 1995 as a writer and producer for America Online. With a knack for interactive product design and an astute consumer eye, she turned a number of unknown internet applications into wildly popular dot com properties. Devin is a self-taught pastry chef. American Cupcake is her first venture in the specialty food industry. And the first time she gets to eat the product.

Devin graduated magna cum laude from U.C. Berkeley, with BA in English. She then spent a year at the University of Florida's Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of the Arts, pursuing an MA in feminist re-readings of psychoanalysis. This course of study most certainly prepared her for a career in cupcakes.
